Just after World War II, Talbot unveiled his new 6 cylinders 4.5 L engine. This superb engine is mounted in the T26 model line, including the famous T26 GS which was the fastest production car of that time, with more than 200 Km/h of topspeed. The road legal T26 are elegant and fast cars offered with several different bodies.

The car we offer is a superb 1949 T26 convertible, with a factory body. It is equipped with the famous 6 cylinders 4.5 liters engine and the semi-automatic Wilson gearbox. It is a french car from new, with the same collector for more than 30 years. It has always been perfectly maintained by the mechanic taking care of all the cars of the collection. It has benefitted from the following recent work :
Front axle setup, ignition, brakes, water pump, water cooler.

The paint is old but still very nice and the chromes are in perfect condition. The car is straight with no trace of rust. the interior has been redone and is currently in superb condition. The leather and the woodtrim are perfect, as well as the dashboard. Only the soft top should be replaced.

This is a superb T26 that drives like it should, and with a clear history.
