Fully restored in 1999-2000, this 1970 Lotus Seven S3 is without a doubt one of the nicest models still on the road today.

Rolling off the Caterham assembly line in January 1970, this is one of the last Seven Series III ever built (it sports chassis LSB2604), since the Caterham stopped producing the S3 in March 1970 with the chassis number LSB2649.

According to factory records information confirmed by the Lotus Seven Club of Great Britain, this car was equipped with the 1600cc Crossflow engine with a Ford gearbox and an Escort axle. The frame was built by the Universal Radiator Company, since its reference include the “BL” prefix.

When it was restored, the car was stripped down to its frame. The aluminum body was completely replaced and the engine, gearbox and suspensions were entirely restored. All original parts (see additional picture) are also available, except the wheels. Fully documented, this restoration was completed professionally, allowing this Seven to keep its close-to-new appearance.
