We are proud to present you this authentic Lancia Fulvia Group 4 delivered new to Switzerland. With only 2 Swiss and 2 French owners this is a rare Group 4 car, the emblematic model that brought success to Lancia winning their first rally world championship in 1972. The car comes with a letter from the factory dating from October 1973 that certifies this is a 1972 model produced in September 1971. Engaged in various races by the Scuderia Tricolore this car notably finished in second position in its category at Monza in 1976 driven by Ottorino Volonterio, a former Swiss F1 race driver who raced with Maserati 250 F. This proves the potential of the car and the seriousness of the race preparation undertaken. Subsequently it participated in historic rallies such as Sanremo Rally Classic. The car remained in Switzerland until 2005, when it was brought to France in order to participate in historic events. Today the car is in good state of preservation and, above all remained in its original configuration notably with its aluminium front bonnet, Colotti gearbox, large fuel tank and Campagnolo magnesium alloy rims. The engine in Group 4 configuration is equipped with large valves and Dell’Orto 48 carburettors. The mechanics are in perfect working order, offering the same performance and agility as at the beginning of its career. This car is race ready complete with FIA papers and eligible for historical events. Since the pictures were taken the car has been resprayed in red and is now perfect. The paintwork was completed by an official Ferrari approved coachworker. This Lancia is French registered available in the South of France. |
