When the Ferrari F355 was introduced in 1994, it was considered by most car enthusiasts are the first modern Ferrari since it took Ferraris into a new dimension, the one they are still in today.
Succeeding to the 348, Ferrari granted the F355 with the latest technological refinements, making the F355 a car with improved handling, better overall performance, all wrapped in a very elegant design by Pininfarina.
The F355 evolved considerably throughout its life. Offered first in the Berlinetta coupe and GTS variants, it was also sold as a convertible starting in 1995, the Spider. In 1997, the 355 F1 became one of the first production cars to be equipped with a paddle-shifting transmission found in the Formula 1 cars.
We are happy to offer for sale what is probably the Ferrari F355 which will achieve collectible status very soon. This early F355, a 1994 model, presents all the most desirable features one could look for in a F355. The lack of airbags ensured for the presence of a typical 3-branch Ferrari steering wheel.
For its two first years, the injection system was the Bosch Motronic M2.7, which allowed the engine to perform extremely well. The M5.2 version, installed from 1996, tend to quiet down the engine’s personality in a similar manner that an emissions-controlling exhaust system would.
More importantly, the condition of this Ferrari F355 can be reduced to a single word: pristine. Never repainted in any way – not even one part! – it presents extremely well. Of course, it shows a few signs of its age, but we felt it would be a shame to mask these little imperfections. They can of course be taken care of at a minimal cost for a buyer who wants a perfect car.
The history of this F355 is also completely known. We purchased the car from its first owner in Italy with only 6,500 km from new. He purchased the car as a collectible piece and treated it as such, always maintaining it perfectly and storing it in a heated garage. Some of the original wrapping remains on the carpet, showing that the car was barely used in its life.
The car was serviced in February 2011 by the Torino Ferrari main dealer, and it has of course its up-to-date service book as well as its original toolbox, still wrapped in its plastic protection.
This is probably one the very best opportunity to purchase one of the only true collectible F355s. With higher production numbers than its predecessors, there will only be very few examples to increase regularly in value. This car will be amongst them.
This exceptional single owner Ferrari F355 with only 6,500 km from new is immediately available in France with its French registration. |
